If you found your way to this section of my blog I'm guessing that you may be doing a bit more than simply passing on through. At least I hope so :)
Catapult Fitness Blog was launched in late April 2008 as a means for me to reconnect with my passion for fitness and nutrition; a passion that became sidelined as I worked 14 hour days as a Marketing and Sales Executive for the past 20+ years.
At launch, I knew absolutely nothing about blogging and quite honestly, that didn't seem to matter. It felt absolutely exhilarating to have a place to voice my opinion, and the first time I saw myself "published" was a thrill I will never forget.
I was hooked.
So much so that a soul-searching trip to Italy in June 2008 helped me to decide
that the time was right to explore new opportunities.I came back from vacation, resigned my position as VP of Sales for a large, database marketing company and started studying for my Fitness Nutrition Coach Certification.
Being 20+ years out of college, getting back in to the swing of studying wasn't easy, but I managed to score a 93% on my exam. For me this was a clear sign that there was no turning back and that I need to follow wherever this journey was going to take me.
The Journey Continues

Oxygen Magazine featured Catapult Fitness Blog in their Winter 2009 Fat Loss Issue and we will also be included in an upcoming issue this summer.
In addition to this blog I am also a featured Contributor on Gyminee.com, the "Sports and Fitness" category winner of the Blogger's Choice Open Web Award for 2008.
My fitness nutrition consulting business continues to grow and I hope to be releasing my first eBook in the not too distant future.

apult Fitness Blog NO BULL Seal Of ApprovalIn December 2008 the Catapult Fitness Blog NO BULL Seal of Approval was launched as a direct response to requests for product reviews from readers.
Product reviews are something that I struggled with as several marketers have contacted me in hopes of "buying" positive product reviews. Rest assured that the NO BULL seal can never be bought!
As I posted in December, my promise to the readers of Catapult Fitness Blog is that I will never sell-out and recommend a product that I do not truly believe has value. While I will accept select products for review from manufacturer's, this is only done with the understanding that I am able to review a product as I see fit.
Current recipients of the NO BULL Seal Of Approval include:
- Turbulence Training *
- Precision Nutrition *
- Lebert Equalizer *
- Iron Gym
I realize that there are people who may take issue with the fact that I earn revenue from my blog.
We all need to earn a living and I made the decision to do that by sharing information that I personally find valuable. I don't feel that there is any shame in that and I don't feel that I am forcing product on anyone. Matter-of-fact, I have worked with both Craig Ballantyne (founder of Turbulence Training) and Dr. John Berardi (founder of Precision Nutrition) to provide my readers with a good deal of free workouts, recipes, et al.
If you find the free information of value and choose to purchase those products, I hope you'll do so via this blog. If not, that's fine as well. I will continue to provide you with all the free information I can find to help you lead a healthier life!

5 Responses to "About"I really hope you reach your BF% and pull up goals. However, you appear to be in excellent shape right now.
5foot 7 123 pounds
That is really underweight!!!!
I disagree with the comment of underweight. The two components to "weight" are body fat and fat free weight so when you jump on the scales it is a representation of the two combined. Susan may be underweight as classified by her BMI of 18.7, however her body fat is very healthy at 21%. the BMI only takes into account height and weight not body fat and this is a greater indicator of a healthy weight. Well done Susan you look great keep it up.
well done with the blog, really good work!
Hey Susan,
I actually just found your site and actually love it. You have some great articles keep up the great posting. Actually for your height your weight doesn't seem to bad.
My wife was 145lb at 5ft before she lost her weight.
