Dr. Berardi’s first rule of thumb is that if a food is located in your residence, you’ll eventually eat it. For me personally, this is a very true statement as willpower is not my strong point. Removing temptation is an absolute necessary means to an end in my never ending quest to reduce body fat.
This information is now offered in an e-book format, and is absolutely free. You can download Dr. Berardi’s Precision Nutrition Strategies for Success e-book by clicking on this link: Precision Nutrition Strategies for Success.
In addition to outlining what foods should be in your pantry and refrigerator, this e-book also has a very good section on how to eat “right” when traveling.
For those of you not familiar with Dr. Berardi, he is the director of performance nutrition for the Canadian National Cross Country Skiing, Alpine Skiing, Canoe/Kayak and Bobsleigh/Skeleton teams and is a performance nutrition consultant to a number of elite level individual athletes, sports teams, and Olympic training centers including:
* The Toronto Maple Leafs
* The Canadian National Speed Skating Team
* The University of Texas Women's Track and Field Team
* Individual athletes in nearly every sport including professional football (NFL and CFL), professional hockey (NHL and AHL), professional baseball (MLB), professional basketball (NBA) and more.
Stay Strong.
Peace.
Susan
